Eventet är framflyttat till maj 2021.

In light of the current concerns over COVID-19 and travel restrictions, including to Italy, the Planning Committee has made the difficult decision to postpone the New Shape of Sharing:  Networks, Expertise, Information forum, planned for May 11-14, 2020.  We will reschedule the forum for May 2021 in Fiesole, dates to be determined.

We realize that many have put in much time and effort toward making this event happen, but given the uncertainties about the duration of the COVID-19 situation and widespread restrictions regarding gatherings and travel, we feel that this is the best option.  We remain committed to the forum’s objective of an in-person meeting to create new connections and conversations.  Since the worlds of libraries and publishing are constantly changing, the subjects on the program will remain highly relevant, even as individual presentations may evolve over the coming year.  We hope that all presenters will be able to join us in May 2021 for the new, New Shape of Sharing:  Networks, Expertise, Information.

For those participants who are not able to reschedule, we will refund all registration fees.

Members of the Planning Committee will be reaching out to presenters as we finalize plans for the 2021 forum.

New Shape of Sharing: Networks, Expertise, Information

Librarians in North America have long-standing relationships with Western European libraries and materials vendors to support research in the humanities and to maintain non-English collections. In today’s research and budgetary environments there are increasing pressures on the traditional humanities, while developments in technology and large-scale initiatives offer new opportunities for libraries, publishers, and content suppliers to collaborate. Despite the importance of addressing these changes, there are few opportunities for librarians and vendors to have meaningful and deep discussions.
