The British Library is hosting a series of webinars focused on libraries and the climate crisis. The aim of the series is to bring together international library leaders to share their different responses to the climate emergency.

The Green Libraries Manifesto pledges that libraries will work with their local communities. The Manifesto emphasises the potential of libraries to empower people to take environmental action through local green initiatives. This webinar will focus on practical examples of libraries working with their communities on climate-related programming across the world. This includes collaborations with other local organisations, projects designed to improve climate literacy, and improving access to green spaces.

Date and time: Thursday 5 Dec 2024 16:00 –17:30 CET.

This event will be live captioned.
